This is the definitive Heritage Tour of Ontario, covering historic sites in Niagara, Chatham and Windsor. Many people come out of curiosity; some people come and discover a name from the past they thought was lost. But no one comes away untouched from this story of Pride and Success!!!
We are offering the unique thrill of discovering your "American Heritage" in a foreign country - Canada the world next door!

Niagara:
Harriet Tubman, The Black Moses, ran her Underground Railway System before the Civil War from Niagara. A complex network of safe houses and friends protected runaway slaves on their perilous journey to Canada, known as the Road to Freedom. With a pistol in one hand and a Bible in the other, Tubman led more than 19 expeditions to the South and assisted more than 300 persons to escape the bonds of slavery by following the North Star to the Land of Freedom. Today you can visit her church and hear her story. Finally, you'll actually visit a former Safe House where people would enter the basement by a tunnel from the river.
Chatham:
Uncle Tom's Cabin is located at Dresdan. Harriet Beecher Stowe immortalized this former slave who purchased 200 acres of land and built businesses and a school. Then it's on to North Buxton to visit one of the few remaining African Canadian settlements still in existence from pre-Civil War Days.
Windsor:
The North American Black Historical Museum located in Amherstburg contains many artifacts built by the former slaves in Canada. The John Freeman Walls historic site is a fascinating trip from Africa to America to Canada as it recreates a terminal of the Underground Railway.
